SPRING BREAK 2012: Coachella!

This, ladies and vagabonds, is what I will be doing this April. As mentioned in a previous NYE post, my friend Sarah is the founder of The Coachella Valley Art Scene and creatress of everything you see in the video above.

I will be making Coachella postcards for all the visiting vagabonds and road-trip revelers to send home from the festival, so if youre there, pop by the campgrounds and say hi.

ECO REVVVOLUTION: “Revenge of the Electric Car”

In 2008 my apartment building caught fire and burnt down. That man and woman in the preview above asking for a revolution? Those were my landlords and they are my dear friends. They lost practically everything but that didn’t halt their determination to bring the electric car to the masses.

Those of you who follow this blog know that a lot has happened in my life since 2008. Thailand, India, Turkey, Germany, Mexico - a year on the road, but now I’m back in the US.

What I’ve seen, coupled with the even greater appreciation I now have for nature and our shared environment, has given me new eyes and new goals. I got rid of my car and am determined to go electric when the time is right.

In the meantime, I encourage you: be part of the revolution: demand clean cars, open up your eyes, and spread the word. Corporate America, the oil companies, and our own government is turning our lives and their lives of future generations - and our natural world - into their new tax brackets. Fuck that! There are those working their asses off to bring us a cleaner future.

Watch this movie. Go electric. Take a stand.

The story: In New Delhi, Kathputli Colony is going to be leveled and generations of artists, performers, and magicians will be displaced. Why, you ask? For a mall. Another mall in another sprawling urban center. Capitalism foresaking the lives of thousands… again.
